Al Ofoq Foundation for Youth Development implements 24 cataract removal operations as part of its medical program.

Al Ofoq  Foundation for Youth Development today, Wednesday, August 26, 2026, carried out the third and final batch of cataract removal operations, completing its free medical program launched by the foundation with the aim of providing health services to those in need and alleviating health and financial burdens on citizens.

The foundation had organized a free medical day a few days earlier, which included examining a number of citizens and diagnosing cases that needed surgical intervention, in preparation for performing the necessary operations within the program.

Dr. Akram Manasra, accompanied by the specialized medical team, performed cataract removal operations for the cases diagnosed during the medical day. The operations were carried out in three batches on August 20, 24, and 26, 2026, benefiting a total of 24 cases, amid the success of the operations and the stability of the beneficiaries' conditions.

This initiative comes within the framework  of Al Ofoq Foundation for Youth Development's efforts to provide free medical services to citizens, especially the most needy groups, and contribute to reducing treatment costs and alleviating the burdens faced by patients, in cooperation with specialized medical personnel.

The foundation affirmed that the implementation of cataract removal operations comes as a continuation of the efforts that began with the free medical day, noting its continued follow-up of the diagnosed cases and the provision of necessary care for them, which contributes to improving the quality of life for the beneficiaries and helping them regain their ability to see better.

This initiative reflects Al Ofoq  Foundation for Youth Development's keenness to continue implementing humanitarian and medical programs and initiatives that respond to community needs and enhance citizens' access to healthcare, especially in light of difficult economic and health conditions.
