Bethlehem University hosts Al Ofoq Foundation in a meeting about volunteer work and youth initiatives.

    Bethlehem – The Department of Social Sciences at Bethlehem University hosted Al Ofoq Foundation for Youth Development in an introductory meeting that discussed volunteer work, youth initiatives, and the role of young people in serving the community and promoting active citizenship and social responsibility.

    This visit comes as part of the collaboration between the university and civil society institutions. The foundation's representatives, Mr. Ibrahim Suleiman, Director of Programs and Projects, and Mr. Nizar Al-Eisa, an explorer and trainer, presented a discussion on the foundation's journey and its volunteer programs, along with an example of its volunteer activities. The aim was to clarify the mechanisms for implementing volunteer initiatives and their impact on community service, while emphasizing the importance of student involvement in volunteer work.

    At the conclusion of the meeting, a proposal was made to implement a joint volunteer activity between Bethlehem University and Al Ofoq Foundation in the coming period, aiming to enhance the values of volunteer work and activate the role of youth in preserving cultural heritage and protecting the local environment in the Bethlehem Governorate.
