ِAl Ofoq for Youth Development" organization held a special meeting with the families of individuals with disabilities in the town of Houssan, at the "Empowerment" center. The discussion focused on the main challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and their families, and how to work on overcoming these obstacles to enable their integration into society.
The meeting was attended by several family members and representatives of the local community, along with experts in the field of care and rehabilitation for individuals with disabilities. During the meeting, key issues were highlighted, including the lack of medical and rehabilitation services, the need for infrastructure adapted to their needs, as well as challenges related to education and employment opportunities.
The families expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to voice their concerns and challenges, emphasizing the importance of continuing such meetings as a bridge for communication with the relevant authorities.
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to develop practical recommendations to work on in the future, including raising community awareness about the importance of integrating individuals with disabilities and intensifying efforts to remove the obstacles they face in various aspects of life.
