In a step that reflects the spirit of social cooperation, Al-Ofoq Foundation for Youth Development organized a meeting with Al-Waha Center for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, as part of efforts to enhance community partnerships.
The meeting, which brought together representatives from both institutions, included recreational activities and an overview of the work sections and handicraft products produced by the center's members with disabilities. The discussion focused on ways to develop activities aimed at this group, in addition to exchanging ideas and proposals that contribute to improving the quality of services provided.
In this context, Mr. Ibrahim Suleiman, Director of Programs and Projects at Al-Oofoq Foundation, expressed his happiness with the collaboration with Al-Waha Center for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, emphasizing the importance of such cooperation in enhancing the institutions' ability to provide innovative solutions that support individuals with disabilities. He also called for the need to strengthen collaboration among various community stakeholders to ensure the provision of an inclusive environment that respects the rights of all individuals.
For her part, Ms. Rola Khair, Director of Al-Waha Center, confirmed that this meeting represents the beginning of a new phase of joint cooperation, where both institutions will strive to implement joint projects aimed at improving the lives of individuals with disabilities and enhancing their active participation in society.
This meeting comes as part of Al-Ofoq Foundation's efforts to achieve sustainable development in the field of the rights of individuals with disabilities and to provide educational and training opportunities for them, in line with community integration standards.
