Bethlehem - The Governor of Bethlehem received the team from Al Ofoq Youth Development Foundation in his office, represented by Mr. Ibrahim Suleiman and Mr. Nizar Al-Eisa. The delegation briefed the Governor on the "Preparedness and Response" initiative funded by ActionAid, aimed at studying activities that could be implemented in collaboration with relevant institutions in Bethlehem Governorate, particularly the municipality and institutions in the town of Tuqu', as well as the Civil Defense and the Red Crescent. The meeting was attended by Governor Abu Aliya and the governorate staff.

During the meeting, the delegation informed the Governor about the importance of this initiative, which contributes to an effective and organized response for Palestinian youth in emergency situations, especially in Tuqu', which has recently faced numerous assaults, practices, and harassment from settlers and occupation soldiers.

It is noteworthy that the initiative will focus on preparing a group of youth from Tuqu' to act as an emergency committee to handle any incidents within the town, through a series of practical and theoretical training sessions.

For his part, the Governor emphasized the importance of the initiative and the governorate's readiness to overcome any obstacles and provide all possible facilities to ensure its success.

In turn, the Horizon delegation expressed their gratitude to the Governor and the governorate staff for their cooperation, welcome, and willingness to collaborate for the benefit of the homeland and its citizens, affirming Horizon's mission to always harness its resources and teams to improve developmental conditions on all levels, particularly concerning the Palestinian youth sector.
