Al-Ofoq Foundation and ActionAid Palestine sign a memorandum of understanding.

    Bethlehem - As part of the ongoing coordination and strengthening of partnership, the Al-Ofoq Youth Development Foundation and ActionAid Palestine signed a memorandum of understanding to support a preparedness and response initiative that actively and systematically engages Palestinian youth in the current state of emergency, addressing the needs of the local community. 

    This initiative aims to contribute to the national effort that enhances the resilience of citizens, particularly the Palestinian youth, and to develop a proposed plan in coordination and cooperation with various relevant parties, serving as a practical, participatory, and integrative model among different components of Palestinian society, led by aware and capable youth in response to the exceptional circumstances faced by the Palestinian people.

    It is noteworthy that representatives from the Al-Afaq Foundation participated in the meeting, including Executive Director Dr. Mohammad Al-Farajeh, Program and Project Manager Mr. Ibrahim Suleiman, and Training Manager Mr. Nizar Al-Eisa. From ActionAid, the attendees included General Director Mr. Jamil Suwalmeh and Program and Project Manager Mr. Wissam Shweiki.

    During the meeting held at the ActionAid office in Bethlehem, both parties discussed the depth of their strategic bilateral relationship and ways to develop it in the future, in light of the ongoing developments and recurring crises in the Palestinian arena, as well as ways to enhance resilience and achieve youth development amid persistent challenges.

    The memorandum of understanding was signed by Al-Afaq's Executive Director Dr. Mohammad Al-Farajeh and ActionAid's General Director/Branch of Palestine Mr. Jamil Suwalmeh.
