As part of the "Preparedness and Response" initiative implemented by Al Ofoq Foundation for Youth Development, funded by ActionAid, a training session was held in the town of Tuqu' in the Bethlehem Governorate.

The session focused on life skills, highlighting the topic of planning during the first part of the meeting, which utilized brainstorming techniques. The discussion covered the concept of planning and the stages involved in the planning process, emphasizing that the absence of planning is, in itself, a plan for failure. This led to the development of an emergency plan for the town of Tuqu', crafted by the youth group participating in the initiative, which included several recommendations directed at decision-makers in the town, with the hope that these would be disseminated to encompass communities and governorates to confront the challenges facing our Palestinian people on various fronts.

The second part of the meeting included a dialogue session with Mr. Muhammad Al-Badan, the mayor of Tuqu', and Mr. Musa Al-Sha'er, the deputy mayor. During this session, many issues were raised for discussion, allowing the officials in the town to be informed of the key needs from the youth's perspective and the recommendations of the participants.

At the end of the meeting, certificates were distributed to the participants in the initiative, with plans to continue the program as scheduled, particularly regarding engaging decision-makers and partners and informing them of the main outcomes.
