ِAl Ofoq Foundation for Youth Development, represented by Mr. Ibrahim Suleiman and Mr. Nizar Al-Eisa, held a meeting with representatives from the Environmental Quality Authority, including the director of the Bethlehem directorate, Mr. Taleb Hamid, and Ms. Naema Kanaan, director of the Awareness Department. The aim was to discuss ways to collaborate on enhancing environmental awareness among youth and supporting sustainable environmental initiatives.
During the meeting, both parties discussed mechanisms for implementing awareness programs targeting the youth, in addition to projects aimed at reducing pollution and promoting environmental sustainability. They also reviewed the efforts made by the foundation in the field of environmental youth work and the role played by the Environmental Quality Authority in supporting initiatives that contribute to improving the environmental situation in Palestine.
Representatives from both institutions emphasized the importance of joint work to create a clean and sustainable environment, focusing on enhancing the role of youth in environmental protection through awareness campaigns, afforestation, and recycling.
At the end of the meeting, they agreed to develop a joint action plan to implement several environmental programs, with a commitment to continue coordination and cooperation between the two sides in the future through a memorandum of understanding.
